Time to dust off the Lee Enfield -
According to the blind Torquemada, "I will now bring forward legislation to bring in a compulsory, national ID card scheme".
Bizzarely his Tyrranic Highness plans to introduce the ID card alonng side the passport.
"A single, universal ID card for all UK nationals, to be issued alongside passports".
Now given that we all (even my 11 month old child) have to hold a passport, and they want the passport to have three, yes three biometric identifiers (as approved by our EU masters last week, then why the need for an ID card at all?
