Fainting in Coyles
An occasional letter from the Heart of Euroville

The award today of the European Parliament's Sakharov Prize to the Belarusian Association of Journalists is glorious. Now I have no real idea of the strictures that the poorr Belarussian journalists finds themselves, and I suspect it is pretty grim.
However for the MEPs to bang on about journlaists freedom nis astonishingly rich given the treatment emted out to Hans-Martin Tillack. Particularly when he was verbally abused in the Paarliament by MEPs who congratulated Commission so called fraud busters OLAF and the Belgian poloice for arresting him and confiscating his files. His crime, as I am sure you are aware ws to report on the corruption within the EU.
Get the beam out of your own eyes.

Update, I missed this fine headline

Belarus parliament is not democratic, say MEPs
