Utrecht is a great place

Lovely buildings, pretty canals, good eats, excellent museums and churches. All in, a decent place to spend a few hours.

The Treaty that bears its name however confirmed the British occupationof Gibraltar. An agreement that states "the town, castle and fortifications were to be held and enjoyed for ever without any exception or impediment whatsoever" .

One chap who made his name defending Gib against the periodic attempts by the Don to re-write history through force was one Lieutenant Henry Shrapnel, Royal Artillery.
I bet that took them by suprise!
