Good for whom, exactly?

EURSOC asks a pertinant question about the idea that Verheugen should become 'economics supercommissioner'.
When the German Chancellor claims that "It would be good if Germany took on a special responsibility for economic policy in the European Union."

Just who is the fellow kidding. If anything is guaranteed to kill any thopughts of serious recovery stone dead would be enforcing the Germanic stasis on the emerging economies of Eastern Europe, not to mention the UK.

Do they really want to drive more people into the haands of the Eurosceptic parties across Europe? Seems so.
